Neil Freeman and Phil Ager of Control Energy Costs revisit Tyneside Safety Glass for a meeting with its Finance Director to confirm details of a £27,000 refund, and discuss an ongoing working relationship.

Control Energy Costs were invited for an initial meeting with Tyneside Safety Glass's Managing Director, after he was impressed by the number of Glass Manufacturers Control Energy Costs were already working with. Control Energy Costs’ Sales Director presented services and a working arrangement was agreed upon on the basis that they didn’t think we would find much but as only paid by results, giving Control Energy Costs the opportunity to review their arrangements was a ‘no-brainer.’”

Control Energy Costs’ initial review highlighted an issue with the underlying Distribution Charges being incorrect at one of their sites, and having taken the matter up with Northern Power Grid on behalf of Tyneside Safety Glass, a refund of £27,000 has now been secured with a further £9000 to follow. Correcting the issue has also resulted in an ongoing saving of £6000/annum.

Whilst Tyneside had retained the services of a third party advisor for many years, Control Energy Costs were able to find savings and refunds over and above their work and are now looking to work with Control Energy Costs in managing their flexible energy contract for the future.

Tyneside's Finance Director commented, “I’ve been delighted with the extensive analytical work that Control Energy Costs has carried out. From initially meeting their Sales Director to having the report delivered by Neil Freeman and Phil Ager, the attention to detail and the drive to secure the refunds and savings for us has been exceptional. Energy for us is a significant cost and knowing it’s been looked after so diligently is comforting to us as a business.”

“We were happy to engage with Control Energy Costs and see what they could do for us. Knowing they work with so many other glass manufacturers gave us confidence they knew what they were doing. They’ve definitely proved their value to us, helping us secure a complex electricity refund going back 6 years.”

Managing Director, Tyneside Safety Glass

In conclusion, Control Energy Costs noted, “Whilst we currently work with approaching 50 glass manufacturers there are still a handful we would like to sit down and have a conversation with. We’re delighted Tyneside Safety Glass has kindly endorsed our services based on the work we’ve done for them.”
